Stark Effect

Stark Effect has a new Mic-in track available at their site

14 is another classic, with echoes of Wobby, Negativland etc but also
Buried Dreams era Clock DVA.

Like every mic-in track it lays bare the soul of humanity in all it's pop-eyed (as in Jean-Paul Satre) splendour and ontological angst.

And it's got a tune you can whistle.

Still, it's not as good as my personal favourite Stark Effect track:

Bunnyrabbits, Satan, Cheese and Milk which I've posted before and will continue to post until it gets to Number 1. I just want to see how Top of the Pops will stage it: I'm hoping for a red-hot belly dancing/ Elvis impersonating girl Goth girl with an eye-patch, a club foot and a bucketful of unpasteurised cottage cheese.

But maybe that's just me.

I've also recently come across The KLFs How To Have A Number One The Easy Way which I remember a friend having a while back and following to the letter.

Well, almost to the letter; he got to Number 6, I think, with a very dodgy track which sampled the theme tune from Roobarb and Custard before investing wisely and going onto much greater things as Global Communication, Reload and The Jedi Knights amongst others.

Strangely, most biographies of Mark miss out this undoubted highlight of his career.

SHAFT....
Hardcore classic...
ive got Roobarb and custard dolls...
when you squeeze their bellys they do the theme tune...
sadly (or not) theyre slightly out of sync with each other...
surreal at certain times of the night.
