Curve - Falling Free (Aphex Twin Remix)
Jesus Jones, Meat Beat Manifesto, St. Etienne...all were given an Aphex 'makeover', which involved removing virtually all the original track and replacing it with one of Mr. James' own peerless exercises in (electronic) drum meditation. Here we see Ms. Halliday transformed into an ethereal, swooning angel floating serenely over a jagged landscape of angular, alien beats. Loki reminds us just how average Curve were. Surely this reminds us just how astonishing Aphex Twin sounded in those early days...
