Bathe in the gloom

I sadly missed the mighty KTL when they played the Cube as part of the Venn Fest this June, due to jetting off to Kos with the family for some well earned relaxing. Luckily though, Tom Buggs was on hand to capture the magick of this latest O'Malley side-project in full mystical swing. I’m listening to it now and the shadows seem to be slowly devouring, like a creeping ink stain.

I saw Pita play about 4 years ago, at lunchtime (with a mega-hangover! - me, not him!)...initally, there was only 3 of us there as he plugged in laptop, etc, then some others crawled out from under the woodwork...my God, when he started playing, it was like a being in the path of a 747...

The gig was magnificent... partly because of the extreme sensory deprivation. The auditorium was thick with dry ice and it was a struggle to get into a seat without tripping over something/one. All that could be seen of the stage was a spotlight shining at the ceiling in the background... and that only vaguely.

Thanks for linking to the podcast, meanwhile... I'm looking forward to reacquainting myself with the torrent of backwards guitar at the end.

lol - not had the opportunity to see pita live yet, sounds like it could be 'skin shedding' fun - really liking this stuff he's doing with Mr Black Robes at the moment.

Wow, seems i missed a great night over at the Cube, my imagined picture of the night wasn't far off your description, minus the snapping deer skulls and blood infused saliva.

Thanks for this.

Yeah, I was at the Venn show - it was good, bleak, loud, full of dry ice...
