Tuche and Automaton
Well, this is gone. No idea where it went. One of the group must have deleted it in a fit of pure Man Ray Blog-To-Be-Destroyed rage. It's a pity but I guess I was asking for trouble giving people I didn't know the full editing rights etc. Still, a new one will be up before long so if you're still interested email me and I'll remember to invite you - the previous invites were sent out on a complex system of transfiguration and number (w)hording.
Little fellah was only a few days old and he was just starting to smile.

Oh God, that is a real shame. What a nightmare. Sigh. Sometimes I think we are all perhaps a little too trusting. Or maybe I'm just naive. Hope your new one goes well. Love these pics. Where are they from?
sorry to hear of your loss. what was it, anyway?
There are snippets of information so guaranteed to elicit an entertaining reaction from Mrs Doppelganger that I save them in order to time their release for maximum comedic effect. 'Loki has started a poetry blog' is one such phrase.
But so much seemed to be going into it that it seems such a shame now.
Ya can't trust these creative types.
Can I be in on the resurrection? _ I promise no Jodie.....
Have ya tried contacting blogger?
They tried desecrating the grave of the old bloke a while back (I still look for signs of movement)but one quick email put it all back.....
well...it wasn't just a poetry blog... more a place to put leftover bits of writing, poetry, mp3s, pictures etc... about thirty people had contributed so far with about 50 in the wings... it got going really quickly and then... it just disappeared into thick air....
i can't be arsed to rejuvenate it right now but maybe in the future... i have contacted blogger... i'll see what they come up with...
Christ - 80 people - that'll take some putting back together.....
Ah - I wondered what had happened - I assumed I'd been kicked off! That's a sod!
Now I know why blogger keeps telling me
"We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are unable to process your request at this time. Our engineers have been notified of this problem and will work to resolve it."
when I go to accept the invite.
what a trip!
i dint doit!
i might kill my own children
now and again, but I would never
be so rude to kill someone elses!
80 ppl...and you...didn't...invite...me...?
*glark!!*
(^strangled-sobbing noise^)
Its because I gave my spare copy of the V/Vm CD to Doppelganger, isn't it...?
What a douche...oh well, I'm still interested in whatever group blog you set up in the future--just invite me ;-).
hey Nick and the other West Country Idiots... no offence meant, it was just the intention to deliberately chose people to contribute who I had little or no relation to... the people were chosen because i once came across something i liked in their blogs but knew very little about their tastes etc... i liked the idea of coming across something utterly unthought of.. whereas on An idiot's Guide the joy is in all the cross-referencing of experience - the New Beat thing being a case in point - even Doppelganger's getting in on the act and he never seems to want to get too engaged with music (although after the excellently evocative Burial review and other musical posts recently even he's on the turn...)
so, Tuche and Automaton will be back soon... either because blogger has found the little guy (stuck like Pingu under some ice sculptures) or reanimated by me when I can get myself motivated...
I was really enjoying reading that blog as well...
It would be great if you could bring it back Loki...I hope you're successful. Count me in again.
Heh.... on the turn indeed....
Well Loki, it was a strange idea to give people access to the set up area on the blog. Maybe next time block off this section, I don't think that it makes any difference either way. I was looking forward to posting an image text piece. let me know when you start it up again.
i know what you mean Neil but i wanted to add a little randomised intrigue... let people fuck about with the template so that it was continuously changing... perhaps a little naive in hindsight... maybe i'll have better luck next time with a less democratic approach (worked for Andre Breton...)
:0
Can I be in on the party?
Also, might I suggest you get whoever you want contributing to use blogger's "post-by-email" option instead of giving direct access? They'll need to use HTML and know how to do stuff with it, but it might be better and more secure for the health of the blog.
