Thunderbolt PagoDa(da)

In a minor twitch & canticle from Kek's piece on the Sunburneds version of The Invasion Of Thunderbolt Pagoda here's a snippet of the original sountrack by the legendary Velvet Undergrounder, Angus MacLise, who never played a recorded note for the VU, apparently believing they'd already sold out from their shamanistic / drone beginnings by the time they played their first gig... this excerpt gives a little insight into where the Velvet Underground might have gone if they'd reined in the rock propulsives and refused to shake off the early La Monte Young fixations or if they'd been around at the time of Surrealism rather than Pop Art, ditched Warhol's odd smallpop-taxonomies, gone with Cale rather than Reed, lost Nico along the way and, well, been a completely different band... this part is twinkling and soft with tiny Tibetan drones, a coupla reindeers worth of bells and sounds not unlike the Psychic TV soundtracks from the early 80s (i'm sure not accidental - Angus seems just the kind of guy that Genesis would latch onto)...
