Enjoying ploughing through the excellent Medecins Sans Frontiers Benefit 5 CD compilation on Jnana Records at the moment which includes Coil, Irr.App.Ext, Marc Almond, Vshit Bunyan, Nurse With Wound, Thee Majesty, Charlemagne Palestine, Shirly Collins, William Basinski, Angels of Light, Annie Anxiety, Ghost, Cyclobe, Hafler Trio, Marissa Nadler..(excellent track by track at Foxy Digitalis but I guess you already get the drift)... been making all my students listen to it during revision because I'll never get through it at the rate I normally listen to stuff and my i-pod screen is run to hell into some terrible Nietzchean abyss (looking straight back at you kiddo) so I can put it on there but can't play any other mode than blind shuffle...To fully get the picture here's two sample tracks - play them while trying to remember the information processing route in the visual pathway, what area V2 and V4 control, the name of the condition where you can't recognise faces and the primary functions of the Lateral Geniculate Nucleus...
Listen and then buy - not often you get something dirt cheap which also makes you feel good. Not since they closed down the Ugly Tree Brothel in Bridgwater anyhow...
